A view of Havana’s historic Cathedral Square.

Approach

A simple process for turning observations into clear, intentional illustrations.

Observe

References, proportion, and the details that give each subject its character.

Simplify

Remove what does not help. Keep what makes the subject clear and distinctive.

Compose

Create a clear hierarchy and balanced composition. Every line has a role.

Draw

Build the image line by line, balancing precision with a human hand.

Refine

Adjust scale, line weight, and detail until the image reads clearly.

Produce

Prepare each piece to download, print or plot without losing its character.
